Fall 2011
Weather conditions and water temps have improved. More snook are being reported. Many are smaller sizes which makes the future catch look promising. We have recently had reports of some exceeding 30"and up to 18# by our coastal waders.
Reds are continuing to provide some great action and nice meals. Our local restaurants will prepare your catch with all the trimmings if you clean. Tarpon are showing up and a few 100# have been reported. Most of the catch has been with artificial baits although plenty of live bait is available. A few nice mackeral have shown up on the outer island areas sometimes with the trout.
We have seen more and larger mangrove snapper this season. A beautiful 45 # permit is displayed by photo on our wall in the office thanks to George and Rob the photographer. This was a late summer catch off shore.
Anglers please call us for our reduced rates for September and November. October is booking well and we would like the opportunity to provide great accomodations and service with the best access to the Gulf and backcountry.
Our marina was just dredged with 6 feet of water in the basin. We can accomodate boats up to 26 feet with adequate notification. Our docks now have electric and water for your convenience.
We wish all our loyal customers a prosperous Fall and appreciate your patronage. Two tournaments this September.
